Kettle View Woodworks has two solutions for your outdoor furniture needs.

1. If you are looking for maintenance free, very attractive, outdoor patio tables and chairs; then you want our High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) furniture. This is made primarily from recycled plastic milk and water jugs.

| 2. If you are a traditionalist and are looking for beautiful wooden furniture nothing beats our Western Red Cedar (WRC) finished with a coat of Sikkens or Penofin. Periodic maintenance keeps it looking beautiful and waterproof. Or, if you are a "traditionalists traditionalist", leave it unfinished and allow it to mature into a silvery gray. |

Our top-selling Adirondack Chair features a sculpted seat, and curved back slats for maximum comfort! It is made entirely out of 5/4 Western Red Cedar.
The parts are held firmly in place using 1 3/4" stainless steel fasteners, and special, elasticized polyurethane adhesive, to keep the chair rigid, even when put through -40 to 120 degree temperature.
We use only select Western Red Cedar as our feedstock of choice, since it is simply the finest outdoor building material available! |
It is light, the resin is poisonous to insects, and the Species features an extremely high thermal factor. Western Red Cedar has 80% of the tensile strength of Oak, and is pound-for-pound stronger than steel!
Western Red Cedar is also an appearance-grade wood. When properly coated with Sikkens Cetol, or Penofin, the grains stand out, providing high aesthetic appeal, and long-lasting durability - even under severe conditions.
It is not uncommon for a properly finished Adirondack Chair to last 100 years, there are many in existence to prove it. Naturally, these furniture pieces often become family heirlooms, and are handed down generation after generation, becoming sought after prizes for collectors. |

Most of our Western Red Cedar pieces are also produced in plastic. Refer to the Order page to view which are and which aren't. Typically new pieces start out in cedar and are then migrated to plastic.
Our maintenance free furniture is handcrafted from dimensional "lumber" made from re-cycled plastic milk jugs. It is heavy duty and heavy weight, not easily blown around in the wind. Stainless steel hardware assures you it will not rust or bleed. Plastic is UV stabilized against fading and available in multiple colors.
Our plastic furniture is just as comfortable as the western red cedar. |
